The Vital View system from MiniMitter is a comprehensive system for both short and long-term monitoring of temperature, heart rate and activity data as well as external parameters such as running wheels, lick counters, feeding monitors etc. from multiple subjects.
ER4000 Transmitter / Receiver Unit.Up to 32 of the Vital View ER4000 transmitter/receiver units can be connected to a single PC (one per subject). From each of these ER4000s up to three physiological parameters can be logged (Heart Rate, Temperature and Activity) giving a total of 96 channels of physiological parameters. The Vital View system can also take up to 240 digital channels (running wheels, lick counters, switch closures, etc..) via Mini Mitter's DP24 Data Ports. Giving a total of 336 channels of data. All this information is easily reviewed and filtered using Vital View's built-in software features. Data is readily exportable to Microsoft Excel (TM) or any other Windows analysis or presentation package.
Implantable temperature, heart rate and activity transponders are available for small subjects. These transponders are small (low volume) and due to the unique technology used in the Vital View system - require NO BATTERIES! that's right, no batteries! This means that these transponders can be used for indefinite or lifetime studies. Once the study is completed, the transponder can be liquid sterilised and implanted in another subject - no need for costly and time consuming returns to the factory for refurbishment and battery replacement.
