The Linton Tissue Bath Stations.
|
The Linton Tissue Bath Station was designed to overcome many
of the flaws of traditional tissue bath set-ups. Improvements include:-
- A sturdy base with self-adjusting feet to ensure a stable operating environment.
- Small footprint - small enough to fit inside a fume cupboard.
- Easy tissue mounting - the whole transducer/tissue bearer
assembly lifts out of the bath to allow the tissue to be easily attached to both bearer
and transducer externally.
- Interchangeable baths - Linton Tissue Baths are available in three styles and sizes from
5ml to 50ml, they can be quickly and easily replaced thanks to the quick-release brackets and screw-on
tubing connectors fitted to all Linton Tissue Bath Stations.
- Easily adjustable components - the transducers/verniers, tissue bearer and sleeving can
all be moved independently of one another.
- Colour co-ordinated tubing design - perfusate, water jacket heating water, overflow,
waste and gas tubes are all colour coded for easy identification.
- Expandable - the design of the system allows for connecting systems in series reducing
the cost of doubling-up on other lab equipment such as water heater/circulator baths.
- Optional novel Addenbrookes style, side gassing chamber baths - idea for small tissue
preparations. Gassing occurs in a side chamber away from the main chamber where the
tissue is located. This avoids measurement artefacts which can occur when carbogen
bubbles hit the tissue preparation. The side chamber also ensures extremely good
perfusate/compound mixing.
