Linton Instrumentation offer Transducers, Sensors, Electrodes, Probes, Amplifiers, Acquisition & Analysis Software, Hard-Copy Recorders for haemodynamic parameters. In fact, even if what you are seeking is not mentioned here, it is likely that we can help.
Transducers for Blood Pressure.
We offer a range of transducers for Blood Pressure recording. From the simple disposable type to life-time guaranteed reusable transducers. From traditional cannulated type to pressure tipped catheter transducers which are used for localised pressure recording. Multi-sensor catheter transducers can also be used for applications requiring multiple pressure readings within a vessel or organ (PV studies etc.).
Ultrasonic Transit Time Blood Flow.
The ultrasonic transit-time method provides a volumetric reading of flow. This reading is not based on velocity and vessel diameter calculations used in Laser Doppler and Electromagnetic flow meters. Using perivascular probes as an example, simply plug the probe into the meter and position it around the vessel and immediately the real flow signal is displayed on the meter - there is no need to ensure that the probe is in physical contact with the vessel wall, an acoustic couplant can be used to bridge the gap between the probe and the vessel. This can be output to a recorder or data acquisition system using the built-in high level outputs (pulsatile and mean). Probes are available for applications including acute and chronic perivascular applications, in-line and clamp-on probes for extra corporeal circuits. The Transit-Time method is suitable for measurement of non-blood fluids such as saline or water. Click to visit our Transonic page.
Laser Doppler Blood Perfusion.
Transonic BLF21 Laser Doppler FlowmeterUnlike the Transit-Time Ultrasound method which gives volume flow, The Transonic BLF21 Laser Doppler Flowmeter reports blood flow in approximately 1mm3 (one cubic millimeter) of tissue. The flowmeter analyses Doppler shifted light reflected by moving red blood cells and uses the Bonner algorithm to calculate flow. These measurements are useful to monitor the effect of exercise, drug treatments, environmental or physical manipulations on targeted microvascular beds. Probes are available for continuous measurements in a variety of styles from surface probes for skin, intraoperatively in organs with surface, straight or needle probes and in mucosa with endoscopic probes.
Fluospheres/Nanospheres.
For the measurement of regional blood flow. Known concentrations of these microscopic spheres are injected into the subject. Samples can then be taken at areas of interest. The concentration of the spheres found within these samples indicates the level of localised perfusion.
Data recording/acquisition, archive and analysis. We can provide many solutions for recording and analysis of data provided by the above methods. From a simple pen or thermal array recorder to much more powerful data acquisition and analysis systems. Recorders. Please contact us or fill-in our on-line enquiry form for help and advice as to the best solution to suit your requirements. Data Acquisition, Archive & Analysis.Depending on your application and the regulations which apply to your work (for example you may be working under G.L.P.) and also depending on the depth of analysis you require there are a variety of solutions on offer. Most systems offer a on-line analysis - for example the Biopac MP100 and MP30(Student Lab PRO) have built-in algorithms for differentiating (1st derivative - dP/dT) and for calculating rate, systolic, diastolic, mean, max dP/dT, min dP/dT, cyclical area under curve (stroke volume/pressure) and much more besides. The Gould/PoNeMah P3 Plus system offers automated analysis with intelligent modular algorithms which automatically measure numerous parameters from incoming analogue signals and via DDE link places them in MS Excel (TM) spreadsheets (or other compatible application), this type of system is designed for high-end use under G.L.P. environments. Please contact us to discuss your requirements or fill-in our on-line enquiry form.
